Lauren Bruker is a highly respected movement educator, Classical Pilates instructor, and certified GYROTONIC® teacher based in Louisville, KY. She serves as Director of Communication at Pilates Fit Studio and is an Approved Mentor and Liaison for the renowned Real Pilates® Teacher Training (RPTT) program.
Affectionately known in the studio as the “silent sculptor,” Lauren is known for her calm demeanor, effective teaching, and intuitive coaching. Her sessions are personalized, empowering, and deeply client-centered—welcoming individuals of all abilities and backgrounds. Her mission is to help people explore, trust, and celebrate their bodies through the intelligent systems of Pilates and the GYROTONIC® movement.
Lauren’s journey in movement began with a lifelong love of dance and sports. After earning her BFA in Dance from the University of Illinois, she moved to New York to pursue a career in fitness and performance. In 2009, she became one of the original instructors at SoulCycle, NYC’s premier indoor cycling studio, where she helped open studios across the country and played a key role in developing SoulCycle’s national teacher training program from 2009 to 2017.
Lauren completed her initial Classical Pilates Teacher Training in 2017 with Amanda Vernor at Somaspace in Austin, Texas, followed by The Classical Syllabus®. In 2022, she graduated from the Real Pilates® Teacher Training Program hosted at Pilates Fit Studio and now mentors apprentices through the same lineage. In addition, she holds certifications in NASM Personal Training and 200-hour Yoga and has completed full accreditation in the GYROTONIC® Method.
In 2020, Lauren co-founded Change30 Movement, an online wellness platform created with Erica Walters. The project featured expert-led fitness content from top Louisville instructors, with Lauren leading production, writing, editing, and teaching. In 2022, the platform was acquired by a Canadian wellness company.
Lauren’s teaching mission is to help people better understand their bodies through Pilates and the GYROTONIC® movement. She believes these practices are physical workouts and tools for self-awareness, empowerment, and long-term well-being.
